Jonn is graduating from University of Phoenix with his BS in Information Technology. After two years of online courses that have taken up a lot of Jonn’s extra time he is finally done!! I am so proud of him, he aced almost all of his classes and has been an inspiration to me in how dedicated he is to his work and how patient he has been with his class mates. Not only has Jonn sacrificed his time but also a special parent has scarified their income for Jonn to be able to accomplish this goal and we are forever grateful. Now onto the next part of our journey and that is….
We are going to put the house up on the market for sure this April 1st! And we are praying for the right person to sell our house and that perfect God picked person to come along with the perfect offer. We have held off moving due to the market crashing and with Jonn being in school, it would have been too stressful to move with him needing to be online each day for class. But now that he is done I can put him to work and start packing this house up!!
The new addition to the family this fall has been our little Carmel. We tried breeding Cricket the past year and a half unsuccessfully and after a couple of opinions from different vets we decided stop trying. The breeder that I had taken her to had a couple of babies, but the one I like the most, Carmel, was unavailable because someone else had spoken for her. So we turned down all of the babies in hopes that with next years crop would have better options. A couple of months later I went back on the breeder’s web site to find Carmel available again. We went to look at her and the rest is history. We love her she is so calm and easy going and other than fighting Rain Rot on her back and Thrush in her feet, she is a healthy little filly.
Talking about horses, Jonn and I just came back from a trip down to Georgia. We flew into Atlanta, drove up to historic Chattanooga, TN and spent a day touring Ruby Falls and Rock City. Then we cruised over to beautiful Dahlonega, GA for three nights were Becca attended a Natural Horse Trimming Clinic with Todd Jaynes, which really was the main purpose of the trip. It was at this clinic that Becca realized how much she didn’t know about my horse and how much she would like to know to help other people with horses.
Until Next Time:-)

We are expecting the call back soon to go pick up the truck.
New u-joints.
New ball-joints.
New Idler arms.
And, a transfer case flush because 4×4 stopped disengaging unless we drove in reverse for a short time.
Fun!

The Berg household hasn’t changed much in the past few months. Our days consist of working, spending time with family, friends and our animals. Little Miss Chloe is too smart for her own good she is always watching over us and the cats and letting us know if there is a strange person nearby. This is hard due to the fact that we have a park in the backyard.
The horses are doing well and Becca gets out to see Cricket about once or twice a week depending on what is going on. Cowboy is getting over strangles, but he is doing well he has grown so much in the past couple of months and he loves going for walks with Chloe and biting people, dogs and cats.
This next week we are re-financing our home to a lower rate and we are going to try and rent the whole house out when the time comes. Becca is defiantly itching to buy her farm (Jonn calls it a “ranch”). She misses Cowboy and Cricket more each day and with the addition of another dog in the spring we are running out of room! We are praying and hoping for a gift from God that we will be able to afford our farm/ranch when the time comes. Not only for our animals that we plan to have but for our future family.
We also have just finished Dave Ramsey’s course on financial freedom that Eagle Brook Church recommended. We are so glad to be done and have absorbed so much knowledge! It is so great to be on the same page with finances and to have the same goals and not to argue about it (not like we did). We both can’t wait to be debt free and we are on our way once Jonn’s school loan is paid off, we will just have the house and we are so excited.
Jonn has a couple of months of school left and then he will have his BSIT from the University of Phoenix. Everyone is so proud of him! Jonn is very self motivated but he can’t wait to be done.
Prayer Request:
-Paying off Debt!!
-Jonn to finish school
-Refinancing home
-Jonn and Becca’s Future Farm (that we can find one we like and that we can afford)

One of the Fruci dogs, Missy, is in heat so we traded Dougly for Chloe a couple of days ago so he wouldn’t go too crazy. Last night Chloe and Missy went outside for a while and Missy was the only one that came in. It was hoped that she would be back by this morning, but she is still gone. We went looking for her before work, but there was no sign of her. She does have her orange collar on that has our names and cell phone numbers and her name, so hopefully if someone finds her they will call.

The first big snow of this year allowed us to use the plow on the new truck. It was a blast!

We picked up a new truck tonight and traded “little red” in to a private party. Becca has always wanted to get a larger truck so pulling a horse trailer would be easier. We were contacted by a guy that wanted to downgrade his truck to a smaller one and the cool thing? He had already installed a fifth-wheel and brake box towing system so when Becca gets her goose-neck trailer, it can be pulled behind the new truck!
The new truck is a Ford F150 Triton Supercab that is blue and silver two-tone with a slight checker design. It is 1 year newer and has 10,000 miles less than “Little Red”. Still, it was sad to see the red go… Thanks to Becca’s parents for trading us for “Little Red” so we could make the trade up!
We will post some pictures after we take them.

Apparently Chloe swallowed a stick or something and she is at the Vet now. I will be leaving to pick up Becca from work and heading over there soon. Hopefully she will be fine.

No Becca is not pregnant….This last week we found out through Becca’s parents that one of Missy and Dougly’s puppies needed a new home. We had to go and see her to see if we would be interested in taking her. Sure enough we got to the house and saw her and she was beautiful and was just like her daddy. We couldn’t say no. She was a year old last Monday so she is still high strung and a hyper puppy but she is very smart and catching on fast. Her name is Chloee. We went out and bought an invisible fence to put in the yard due to the fact that she is very fast and our yard can not be fenced in all the way. So we will install that in the next few weeks. If anybody has any good idea on how to put a wire through a drive way let us know!

This winter just keeps hanging on, just when we think it is gone, another snow storm is in the forecast. Jonn and I are ready for shorts and sunburns. It sure feels nice stepping outside and feeling the suns rays actually warm our skin. These past few weeks have been uneventful and relaxing. Easter was spent at Becca’s Grandpa’s house with the family, it was nice to see almost everyone together. We found out some good news that our cousin Jody will be graduating from Law school this Spring and will be heading to California to study and then take the Bar exam. Congratulation’s to her and Godspeed we know she will do great.
At the Berg household Becca just got done with the cruddy cold that has been haunting her lungs and sinuses all week. But that hasn’t been keeping her from throwing away and cleaning out a bunch of Jonn’s stuff this past weekend! Stored away up in the attack Jonn had hidden away some 50 boxes of “stuff” that needed to be sorted through and thrown away. Most of it is going in a garage sale that we will be having in May.
Here are some pictures from Easter and also some pictures we took today. We spent the morning down by the Mississippi driving by the place where Jonn had asked me to marry him and then going down to the Mississippi and walking along the shoreline. As soon as we got there we saw a female eagle perched up on a huge tree then fly away and as soon as she flew away the male eagle came out to chase her. It was fun to watch. Later that afternoon we spent an hour with Cricket and Jonn snapped a few photos of Cricket and I together.
